
Paris, Tenn.–A Weakley County crash claimed the life of a Paris teen early Wednesday morning.
Allie Paige Thompson, age 18, died at Murray-Calloway County Hospital in Murray. Allie is the daughter of Reggie and Christy Thompson. She was a 2020 Henry County High School graduate and was enrolled at Austin-Peay.
Funeral services at Ridgeway Funeral Home are incomplete and will be announced later.
Two other Henry County young people were involved in the wreck, but were not injured.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol report which was released by Lt. Jena Eubanks, the accident occured at 1:20 a.m. Wednesday on Emerson Road at State Highway 89. One vehicle was involved in the accident.
William Boyd, age 20, of Puryear, was driving a 1995 Chevy pickup truck east on Emerson Road when Allie, who was in the bed of the truck, fell outside the vehicle and struck the roadway. Another passenger, Anna Livingston, age 18 of Paris, was also in the bed of the truck, but neither she nor Boyd were injured, according to the report.
