SPORTS BULLETIN: Due to the threat of heavy rains and winds from Hurricane Laura late Thursday night and into Friday, the University School of Jackson at Union City football game has been moved up a day to Thursday night at 7.
Scattered thunderstorms are forecast for late Thursday night (40 percent) before heavy rains and wind (90 percent) throughout Friday.
The game will serve as the Golden Tornadoes’ season opener after Lake County canceled the teams’ scheduled first game due to two reported cases of COVID-19.
