Reminder: The Henry County Fair begins Wednesday with the Junior Livestock Market Hog Show, with Thursday being jam-packed with livestock shows, ending with the annual Junior Livestock Auction, which begins at 7 p.m.

The Auction will be broadcast live on our station, WLZK 94.1.

With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, there will be social distancing and other safety precautions in place. But for those who feel uncomfortable attending the Auction in person, there will be several options: listen to it live on WLZK; watch on Facebook Live; and participate in call-in bidding.

The link for the live auction/call-in bidding is: https://fisherrealtyandauction.hibid.com/auctions/#.X0U7_rrLRdI.facebook

Henry County Extension Agent Staci Foy said the auction will be on Facebook Live via the Henry County Fair’s Facebook page. For those who want to call in their bids, you can call the Extension Office at 731-642-2941 and they will give the information you need to log on to the online auction.

Auctioneer will be Tucker Kail.

Foy said concessions will be available the evening of the Livestock Auction and t-shirts will be available for sale for $10 each.

On the live broadcast on WLZK, announcers will be Station Manager Lance Pierce and Brother Randy Stephens.

Large events (Demolition Derby, Tractor Pull, Antique Tractor Show, Car Show, Pet Show, etc.) are postponed with plans to host those events as soon as practicable when safe to do so.
