Camden, Tenn.–Benton County Schools officials have sent out a letter to parents notifying them of a case of COVID-19 at Camden Junior High.
The following is the letter:
“This is to notify parents that a case of COVID-19 has been reported at Camden Junior High. The tracking process has been implemented, and those students who were identified as a close contact have been notified by our nursing staff.
“Our school district follows Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Tennessee Department of Health guidelines for the management of individuals who have been diagnosed with, or exposed to, COVID-19. Our school district follows these strict guidelines to protect the safety of our students, families, and staff. We will continue to do everything in our power to ensure the safest environment possible while providing continuity of education to our students. When we can work quickly and collaboratively with the Tennessee Department of Health to identify and advise ill and exposed students and staff, we can avoid the need to close our schools.
“As always, we appreciate the communication between parents and our staff, especially our nursing staff, in keeping us informed. Please reach out to your school nurse if you have any questions.”
