Springville, Tenn.–A weekend home in the lake area in Springville was heavily damaged by fire Friday afternoon.
Paris Landing Volunteer Fire Department Chief Reggie Coles said, “At approximately 2 pm, Paris Landing Fire Department and Henry County Sheriff’s officers were dispatched to a report of a structure fire at 336 Russwood Drive, in Springville.”
Arriving units found the A-Frame type home with heavy smoke coming from the front and rear of the structure. The fire was found in the basement of the structure and extinguished.
Owner Mrs. Kathy Stewart of Brighton, Tennessee said it was used as a weekend home and no one was at home at the time of the incident. A dehumidifier is the suspected cause.
