

Our stations will be broadcasting football games this season in our area, with Henry County Patriot games broadcast on 94.1FM WLZK; McKenzie Rebel games on WHDM; and Union City games will be broadcast on Froggy 99.3-WWGY.
For our Henry County High School Patriot coverage, Darrin Thompson will do play by play for Henry County and Todd Latta will do color commentary. The Patriots play host to Haywood County at 7 p.m. Friday

The McKenzie Rebel football season kicks off this Friday evening as the Rebels travel to neighbor rival Huntingdon to take on the Mustangs. The Rebels will play West Carroll and Trenton both at home the next two Friday nights before an open date Sept. 11. They will travel to Halls on the 18th before a homecoming game on the 25th against Stewart Co. October will see two home games with Gibson Co. and Dresden before completing the season with three away games at Union City, Obion Co. and Adamsville.

Union City Golden Tornado fans can catch every minute of the action, as Union City’s FROGGY 99.3-WWGY has announced a commitment to broadcast Union City High School football and basketball games.
WWGY has tapped recent University of Tennessee at Martin graduate, John Thornton, as Lead Sports Play-by-Play Announcer for Union City Sports. While at UT Martin, he served as the sports director for the award-winning campus radio station, WUTM 90.3 “The Hawk.” As a sportscaster, Thornton called UT Martin Skyhawk and Martin-Westview High School sports.
Thornton will be joined by lead analyst Jordan Taylor, who has experience with WUTM 90.3 “The Hawk” at UTM.
