Magnolia Place Administrator Announces Pending Retirement

Union City, Tenn.–Magnolia Place Assisted Living is announcing the retirement of its Administrator, David L. Johnson, effective December 31, 2020.

During his tenure there, he has overseen the retirement of Magnolia Place’s $1,500,000.00 bond issue.  In addition, the facility has moved into its charitable posture as a 501 (c) (3) by donating funds above the normal operating cost back into other non-profits in Obion County.  To date, this fund is approaching $350,000.00.

 

Angie Carr joined the staff in August, 2020, as the incoming Administrator.  She comes to Magnolia Place Assisted Living with variety of business experience in advertising, marketing and insurance.

She has been the Assistant Administrator of the Obion County Nursing Home for the past 6 years.  “Angie’s variety of business and healthcare experience makes her the right person at the right time.  The Board of Directors and I feel that she will be a great fit for our vision for the future of Magnolia Place,” according to Johnson.

 

Magnolia Place Assisted Living will also welcome Kathy Essary as the Director of Nursing.  She has held positions of nursing in other fields, but was drawn to nursing in geriatrics. She was an LPN at The Arbors before coming to Magnolia Place.  “We believe Kathy’s experience with seniors, especially in the field of dementia, will be a great asset to our residents and their care.  We are looking forward to having Kathy and her expertise at Magnolia Place,” Johnson said.
