Paris, Tenn.–The Henry Co. Sheriff’s Office is investigating an alleged assault which may have resulted in the victim’s death a few days later.
Kenneth Barlowe, age 73, of Springville, died a few days after being airlifted to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.
According a report from the sheriff’s office, a physical altercation occurred between Barlowe and the driver of a truck on Hwy. 218 after a piece of gravel struck Barlowe’s windshield. After Barlowe demanded the other driver pay for a new windshield, the other driver kicked Barlowe in the face and knocked him to the ground, according to the report, then reportedly fled the scene.
Captain Adam Jenkins said, “Our investigation into the incident is ongoing.” He said more information will be forthcoming as the investigation is concluded.
