Paris, Tenn.–One day after the Henry County Sheriff’s Office inaugurated its “Fishing For Fugitives” campaign, the first three fugitives have been caught.

As RadioNWTN reported Thursday, the sheriff’s office launched its new campaign with a video showing Sheriff Monte Belew, Chief Deputy Damon Lowe and Deputy Lt. Lance Perry shown fishing on a boat by the Paris Landing Marina and discussing the fugitives they are fishing for.

Today, the sheriff’s office announced all three fugitives have been landed:

Corey Capps was taken into custody last night by Drug Task Force Agent Jamie Myrick and the Metro Crime Unit. He is currently in the Henry County Jail.  Capps was wanted for two counts of felony aggravated assault and two counts of domestic assault.

Gregory Arthur Smith was taken into custody by federal agents in Mississippi. He was wanted for three counts of aggravated robbery.

As for Emily Powers, contact was made, warrants returned and dismissed and the case is still under investigation. She was wanted for criminal attempted Second Degree Murder.

Sheriff Belew thanked everyone who called with information. “We could not do it without your help.”

He said, “Stay tuned next week” as the sheriff’s office goes fishing again.
