Buchanan, Tenn.–The walls are coming up at The Lodge at Paris Landing. Work is steadily progressing on the project, despite strong thunderstorms and oppressive heat in recent weeks. Project Foreman Steve Dunn said the walls now being built are for the restaurant area, elevators, and loading dock areas. He said regular strong rainfalls have hampered progress a bit and the workers are getting around the heat by starting at 5:30 a.m. and quitting each day by around 3 p.m. The project is on target for completion in the fall of 2021. The Lodge at Paris Landing replaces the former Paris Landing Inn, with a total number of rooms to be constructed at 90. (Shannon McFarlin photo).
