Buchanan, Tenn.–A record-breaking 800 participants were on hand for this year’s Water Fun Run on Kentucky Lake, sponsored by the Paris-Henry County Chamber of Commerce. Chamber CEO Travis McLeese said the previous record was 720 in 2019.
“We couldn’t have pulled this event off without a long list of volunteers who worked to give everyone a great experience,” McLeese said. “We are working to compile data, but we believe that around 70% of the participants were from out of town, and over 8 states were represented during the event. Not only is this a vital fundraiser for our organization, it’s an incredible marketing opportunity for our Marinas and economic driver for the community.”
