Some $5,000 Raised For Carl Perkins Center

Paris, Tenn.–Some $5,000 was raised for the Henry County Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse at last night’s “Cheeseburger At Breakers” event. Director Carly Wheat said the tables were sold out and a good crowd was on hand for the event, which featured music by Randall French and Josh McKee, who also served as emcees. The Henry County Sheriff’s Office Grilling Team grilled burgers all night long. Awards were handed out: Child Protective Investigative Team Member of the Year- Henry County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Gary Vandiver; Child Protective Investigative Team Agency of the Year- Department of Children’s Services, Kay Peeler; and Board Member of the Year Mark Archer, who is Henry County 911 Director. Breakers Marina Manager Rookie Edwards also was given an award for his dedication to the Center and community.
