Paris, Tenn.–With Sunday morning’s torrent of rain, even more culverts on Henry County roadways have been washed out.

County Road Superintendent Richie Chilcutt said there are two culverts out on Palestine Rd., a double culvert washed out on East Herrondale and a culvert out on Pig Lane.

That number is added to the culverts that are still washed out from a storm earlier this month on Robert Barnhill Rd., Reuben Rd., Hart Farm Rd., Paschall Cemetery Rd., and Rowe School Rd.

“The only one we had been able to fix so far from the last storm was the wash-out on Parkhill Rd.,” Chilcutt said.

There were roadways, including Gum Springs Rd., that had to be closed due to high water caused by the flash flooding, he said.
