carl-p

Paris, Tenn.–The Henry County Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse has planned its annual fundraiser from 6-10 p.m. Thursday, July 16, at Breakers Marina.

Tickets are $10 which includes a cheeseburger cooked by the Henry County Sheriff’s Office Grilling Team, chips, drink, and a Moon Pie.

A limited number of tickets are still available for purchase and pre-sale tables are currently sold out. Children 5 and under are free. Musical Entertainment will be by Randall French and Josh McKee. This is a family friendly event.

Sanitizing measures and social distancing will be followed.

County Director Carly Wheat said, “We are excited to continue this exciting fundraiser in Henry County.  We are grateful to have this beautiful lake and The Breakers Marina for the venue. The Center is blessed to be a part of a community that works hard to continue providing child abuse prevention services to our families.  We hope to continue to expand our work with children and those families affected by abuse by adding more Prevention training in Henry County since abuse reports have been down drastically due to COVID-19.  The money raised from the Cheeseburger at Breakers stays in Henry County to ensure the continuance of those needed services. “We hope to have a big turnout from the community in supporting a great cause.”
