Murray, Ky.–A Murray man who was charged with an assault on Black Lives Matter demonstrators at a peaceful rally last month pleaded not guilty during his arraignment in Calloway County Tuesday.
David Frymire, age 53, allegedly pepper sprayed a group of demonstrators June 2 and attempted to drive his vehicle into a crowd of protestors before being barred by law enforcement. The spray made its way to three protestors and five law enforcement officers, according to Murray Police.
The arraignment was held in Calloway County Circuit Court.
Frymire is represented by Attorney Marc Wells of Princeton, Ky. Judge Jamie Jameson set another hearing for August 6 in the case.
