Paris, Tenn.–The Tennessee Highway Patrol has released information on the agricultural equipment accident on Hwy. 69A that injured the driver Tuesday afternoon.
Elwynn Friesen, age 27, of Wingo, Ky., was airlifted to an area hospital following the accident in which the large three-wheeled 2001 Terra Gator he was driving rolled over.
Traffic was blocked for a lengthy period as first responders worked to remove the agricultural vehicle from the roadway.
According to the report, Friesen was traveling east on Hwy. 69A and while negotiating a curve to the left on an uphill grade, the Terra Gator exited the roadway on the right side, traveling into a ditch. Friesen then attempted to re-enter the roadway and rolled over. The vehicle came to an uncontrolled final rest in the roadway facing north on its right side. (William Beaven photo).
