Paris, Tenn.–The Henry County Fair Association continues to prepare for the 2020 Henry County Fair which is set for August 22-29, 2020. Restrictions will be in place, however, and the Baby Barnyard Revues will be cancelled. A carnival will be on the grounds this year, with increased cleaning procedures.
In a press release issued this morning, fair officials said, “We are aware of the ongoing health crisis. Many rural fairs are planning to continue with their fairs, and we intend to do so as safely as possible. We have already taken steps to address this, and have more plans that will be implemented for Fair Week.”
The following changes are in effect, with more to come and subject to change at any time:
✏️ COVID-19 Warning signage is currently posted at all entrances to the Fairgrounds.
✏️ Officials strongly encourage all guests practice social distancing while on the grounds, in addition to any other precautions you fee personally appropriate.
✏️ Baby Barnyard Revues, scheduled Sunday, August 23rd, are CANCELLED.
✏️ Pageants for Ages 4-20: All contestants must arrive at the Fairgrounds with both hair and makeup complete. This will reduce the number of persons in the backstage dressing area. They encourage you to come dressed, if possible. If not possible, you may dress in the backstage dressing area. *Only 1 person will be permitted back stage to accompany a contestant, and this will be strictly enforced.* All contestants are encouraged to bring a mask 😷 with them.
✏️ The carnival plans for increased cleaning procedures between rides and activities.
‼️ All other events are to continue as planned, with everything subject to change anytime.
