Obion County, Tenn.–An Obion County 911 dispatcher lost her life following an automobile accident.
The Troy Fire Department reported that Rashida Burdick, age 21, passed away Saturday morning from the injuries she suffered from the accident, which occurred Friday.
According to the Fire Department, she was going home Friday morning from her overnight shift. “She recently completed her training and was a bright and welcome addition to the team. We are devastated by her loss. Praying for peace and comfort during this difficult time for friends, family, and work family. Rest in Peace Dispatcher Burdick, we have the watch from here.”
Numerous area dispatch agencies and sheriff’s offices have posted condolences on their Facebook pages, including the Tennessee Emergency Number Association.
