McKenzie, Tenn. – The Carroll County Relay for Life Cancer Bake Auction gets underway Monday June 22- 26 at the McKenzie Church of Christ. Fabulous cooks from all over Carroll County will be providing casseroles, cakes, pies and other special items to raise money for the Relay for Life.
Sherry Washburn, Cancer Bake Auction coordinator, invites everyone to bring items for the auction, listen on WHDM 98.9 FM AM 1440 or streaming on the radionwtn.com website every day.
The Auction usually is conducted the week before Easter but it fell victim to postponements like many other events due to COVID-19. Washburn said, “It’s a change to have the auction in June but I know the people of Carroll County will pull together for another great fund raiser next week.”
If you wish to donate items for the auction take them to the Church of Christ on Highland Drive in McKenzie. Doors will open at 7:30 AM.
The Cancer Bake Auction will start each day at 1:00 on WHDM 98.9 FM AM 1440. Pictures of some of the items will be posted on www.radionwtn.com web page.
