
Huntingdon, Tenn.–The Shepherd’s Table, the community kitchen located in Huntingdon, will resume serving on the third and the fourth Tuesdays in June but with changes due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Meals now will be available at two churches.
The volunteers will be serving contact free drive-thru and take out only meals. There will not be a dine-in option until further notice.
The first of the two meals being served this month will be on June 16th, the third Tuesday, at the First Presbyterian Church of Huntingdon. The church is located at 19835 E. Main Street. Service will begin from 5:15 to 6:45pm. The meal will include: golden fried chicken, fresh green beans, potato salad, corn on the cob and a homemade dessert.
The meal on the fourth Tuesday, June 23rd, will be served at the First United Methodist Church in Huntingdon, located at 201 Asbury Circle. The menu will include: spaghetti with meat sauce, a tossed salad, toasted bread and a delicious dessert. The kitchen opens promptly at 5:15pm.
Drive thru and carry out will be available at both locations.
Just follow the signs and the proctors for directions at each location. There is no cost for the meal and The Shepherd’s Table is open to the public. Everyone is invited, whether you’re in need or just not wanting to eat alone. The Shepherd’s Table is open to everyone..
The community kitchen was created by a group of volunteers that saw a need in the Carroll County community. Over the course of the last couple of years The Shepherd’s Table has fed as many as 140 in one evening.
