Dover, Tenn.–Fort Donelson National Battlefield is seeking public assistance in identifying the two suspects in vandalism this week to a monument at the park.
Fort Donelson has released surveillance photos showing two suspects spray painting the Confederate Monument. One of the individuals appears to be wearing a hoodie and carrying a backpack on his back. The other individual appears to be wearing a long-sleeved t-shirt.
If you have any information on the identities of the individuals shown in the photographs, please contact Fort Donelson Chief Ranger Bill Fields at 1-931-627-0524.
The Confederate Monument at the park was vandalized this week and slogans such as “Racism Lives Here” and “Take Me Down” were spray painted on it. A monument expert will lead removal of the graffiti next week.
