
Marshall County, Ky.–The former student who opened fire on his classmates at Marshall Co. High School in 2018 was sentenced today to two life sentences in prison on two murder charges and an additional 70 years in prison for 14 counts of assault. He will be eligible for parole in 20 years.
Gabriel Parker was found guilty of killing his fellow students Preston Cope and Bailey Holt and injuring 14 others at Marshall Co. High School January 23, 2018.
At today’s emotional sentencing hearing, the parents and families of Preston Cope and Bailey Holt testified of their loss and their memories of the two. Parents of injured students also testified.
Bailey Holt’s mother, Secret Holt said, “I will never understand the acts of evil that took her from us.”
