Union City, Tenn.–The chaos of COVID-19 did not keep a handful of Union City High School students from earning Kiwanis Student of the Month honors for the month of March.
Each of the recipients was awarded a certificate of accomplishment by the local civic group to mark the occasion.
Among the honorees were:
Freshman: Khali Brooks, daughter of Barbara Brooks and Eric Brooks.
Sophomore: Macie Atkins, daughter of Kristin Holland and Michael Atkins.
Junior: Mason Brinkley, son of Beth and Dwayne Brinkley.
Senior: Alexia Couch, daughter of Donna Jackson.
Student Achiever: Emily Ruiz, daughter of Maria Martinez and Santiago Ruiz.
Senior Shyon Stephens, daughter of Linda Williams and Patrick Alexander, was in attendance and honored at the monthly luncheon after being chosen as February Student of the Month but being unable to attend at that time.
