Dover, Tenn.–A Paris man was arrested on drugs and weapon charges after a Stewart County Sheriff’s K9 alerted to his vehicle near Gray’s Landing.
Malik Phelps, age 21, of Cooper St., Paris, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a weapon and disturbing the peace during a traffic stop on Hwy. 79 near Gray’s Landing.
A felony amount of marijuana, along with cash and a weapon was discovered after K9 Harry alerted on the vehicle. Phelps was stopped by Deputy Robbie MacDonald and his K9 Harry alerted on the vehicle.
Bond of $1,500 was set.
