Today, the J.C. Penney Co. released the list of 154 stores that will be closing as part of its bankruptcy and restructuring plans. On the list is the JC Penney store in the Dyersburg Mall.
The reason for the 118-year-old department store closures is reportedly due to a fall in foot traffic and sales. Other contributing factors include the economic woes caused by COVID-19 and the growing popularity of shopping online.
