Paris, Tenn.–Henry County Sheriff’s Sgt. John McElroy and inmates were handing out free produce from the inmates’ gardens Thursday morning at a stand set up in the Kroger’s parking lot in Paris. McElroy is the garden crew supervisor. On Thursday, they were giving away broccoli, peppers and tomato plants. Sheriff Monte Belew said the gardens are producing well this season “and we’ll be starting to give away quite a bit soon.
