
Obion Co., Tenn.–A third death from COVID-19 has been reported in Obion County by the State Department of Health.
According to the latest update, Obion County now has 16 active cases, with a total confirmed case count at 40 and 24 recovered.
As we reported Tuesday night, 14 positive cases among staff and residents are reported at The Etheridge House assisted living in Union City.
Other area counties who also have reported deaths include Benton, Carroll and Gibson Counties, with one death in each county.
Henry County is now showing 11 active cases with a total of 31 confirmed cases and 20 people recovered. The bulk of Henry County’s active cases are currently from The Farms at Puryear nursing home, which earlier reported 13 positive cases among staff and residents. There has been no update forthcoming on the state department of health website in over a week.
Other area counties: Benton Co. showing one active cases, with 7 total and six recovered; Carroll Co. showing 4 active cases with 28 total and 24 recovered; Stewart Co. with 9 active cases with 13 total and four recovered. Weakley Co. is showing one active case with 26 total and 25 recovered; Dyer Co. showing 55 total with 44 recovered and Gibson Co. showing 62 total and 56 recovered.
The confirmed COVID-19 case count for Tennessee is now 24,375 as of June 2, 2020, including 381 deaths, 1,792 hospitalizations and 15,916 recovered.
