Dover, Tenn.–The Stewart County Clerk office at the courthouse is closed until June 11, due to a COVID-19 exposure in the office. All other courthouse offices will remain open.
The County Clerk office will be open for mail-in tag renewals, phone calls and emails. Any questions about other business should be directed to the County Clerk office.
“We will continue to work, but limit face to face contact with the public in order to protect everyone on all sides,” said County Clerk Jimmy Fitzhugh.
Vehicle renewals can be done through the mail with a check or money order sent to P.O. Box 67, Dover, TN 37058. Make checks payable to Stewart County Clerk and add $2 for the mail fee. Please allow 3-5 business days for processing and mailing.
Due to the current situation, all open courthouse offices will require members of the public to wear masks while inside the courthouse. Masks can include bandanas, surgical masks and homemade masks.
