Union City Energy Authority Returns To Normal Business Practices

uc-energy

Union City, Tenn.–During the height of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Union City Energy Authority made temporary changes to its policies and procedures in order to better serve their customers during this unique time.

CEO Jerry Bailey said UCEA has begun transitioning back to regular business practices. As of June 1st they will resume assessing penalties on accounts paid after the due date as well as charging a reconnect fee for customers disconnected for non-payment.

Pre-pay accounts will require a $35 balance to restore service if disconnected. In addition, convenience fees associated with online or over the phone payments will be the responsibility of the customer. (Please note that UCEA does not benefit financially from the convenience fee that is paid. The fee is paid directly to the payment processing company.)

Bailey said, “We hope our earlier actions helped alleviate additional financial burdens you may have faced. Moving forward please be aware you can call our office at 731.885.9212 if the need for special payment arrangements is ever necessary.”
