Paris, Tenn.–Scout troops in Henry County were busy (and hot) today placing American flags at veterans’ graves in local cemeteries for the Memorial Day weekend. BSA Troop 28 and the new girls’ BSA Troop 3 were at Maplewood Cemetery, while the Heritage Girls were at Hillcrest Cemetery. (Troop 22 was at Memorial Cemetery earlier). The girls’ BSA Troop 3 is the third girls’ troop in west Tennessee to form and this is their first year to participate in the annual activity. Troop 3 Scoutmaster Kathy Steele tells Isabella Rich and Leia Jackson where flags should be placed.
