Dyersburg, Tenn.–On Wednesday, May 20, 2020, at approximately 8:49 p.m., Dyersburg Police responded to the 200 block of Kist Street, in reference to shots fired and a person was injured.
Officers arrived and found victim, Kenneth Anderson, age 57, Dyersburg, suffering from a gunshot wound to the inside of his leg. An officer applied his department-issued tourniquet to the victim’s leg to control the bleeding while waiting on EMS to arrive.
Anderson reported that Jackson Hogshooter, 45, of Kist Street, Dyersburg, fired at least three rounds from a hand gun and fled the scene in a gold color Nissan Altima. Hogshooter is an acquaintance of Anderson. The motive for the shooting is not being released at this time.
Hogshooter is wanted for aggravated assault and remains at large. Please call Crime Stoppers at 285-8477, 311, or 285-1212 if you have information where he can be located.
