Dickson County, Tenn.–A Benton County man was killed in a fatal crash in Dickson County Saturday.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol report, John Goodwin, age 44, of Camden, succumbed to injuries sustained in the wreck which occurred on Hwy. 70 at CCC Road.
The investigation showed that Goodwin was westbound in a 2015 Prius on Hwy. 70 and Larry Baker, age 62, of Dickson, was northbound on CCC Road when Baker failed to stop at the stop sign, striking Goodwin’s vehicle in the center of the driver’s side. Both vehicles drove off the roadway and into the tree line.
A 15-year-old passenger with Goodwin also was injured, but the report does not provide further information.
According to the report, both drivers were wearing their seat belts.
