McKenzie, Tenn.–Eight decorated vehicles and three baby goats participated in a May 10 Mother’s Day Parade organized by McKenzie First United Methodist Church.
Even though the parade didn’t have a police escort, Rev. Tricia Trull said it lasted 45 minutes and was approved by the mayor.
To celebrate mothers, the lead vehicle played the Stevie Wonder song, “Isn’t She Lovely?”
The parade was organized to engage with mothers in the community, said Trull, and included driving through neighborhoods around the church.
