Union City, Tenn.–Tryout dates and times have been set for several 2020-21 Union City Schools sports and cheerleading teams.
Social distancing will be in place for all tryouts, and coaches must be contacted via email if a student intends on trying out to allow for proper procedures to be put in place.
Players/cheerleaders must try out at the appointed times, regardless if they were a member of last year’s squad(s).
Information is as follows:
HIGH SCHOOL CHEERLEADING: May 19, 10 a.m., at Marty Sisco Gymnasium on the UCHS campus. Contact: Head coach Kim Sherwood (sherwoodk@ucboe.net).
MIDDLE SCHOOL CHEERLEADING: May 19, 1 p.m., at Marty Sisco Gymnasium on the UCHS campus. Contact: Head coach Halle Kennedy (kennedyh@ucboe.net).
HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL: May 21, 3-5 p.m., at Marty Sisco Gymnasium on the UCHS campus. Freshmen and sophomores will try out from 3-4 p.m., and juniors and seniors from 4:15-5 p.m. Contact: Head coach Jodi Powell (powellj@ucboe.net).
HIGH SCHOOL GOLF: May 26, 9 a.m., at Poplar Meadows Country Club. Contact: Head coach Jason Qualls (quallsj@ucboe.net).
HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL: May 27, 9 a.m., at either L.H. Ladd Field (pending field conditions) or at the Turf Room on the UCHS campus. Players should bring their own workout gear. Contact: Head coach Cole McAdams (mcadamsc@ucboe.net).
