
McKenzie, Tenn.–A McKenzie man has been placed on $201,000 bond after his arrest on charges of attempted second degree murder, aggravated assault and domestic assault. The victim was struck by his vehicle, suffered internal injuries, and was airlifted to Vanderbilt Medical Center.
According to McKenzie Police, Roscoe McClerkin, age 37, threatened to kill a woman who was a passenger in his vehicle. The victim reportedly grabbed the gun and threw it out the window and onto Highland Ave. Officers recovered the Sig 9MM semi-automatic pistol.
According to the report, at some point the victim was struck by the vehicle and she suffered internal injuries, broken ribs and injuries to her ankle.
McClerkin is being held in the Carroll County Jail.
