Nashville, Tenn.–Gov. Bill Lee is signing a stay at home order for all Tennesseans ‘unless they are engaging in essential activity.’
The governor’s office released the following message this afternoon during his daily briefing:
“While many Tennesseans have made good faith efforts to remain at home, recent myTDOT traffic patterns indicate that some citizens are beginning to disregard safer at home measures. This is dangerous, unacceptable, and a threat to lives in our state.
For that reason, I went a step further with my safer at home order & have said that Tennesseans must remain at home unless they are engaging in essential activity.
Staying home isn’t an option – it’s a requirement for the swift defeat of COVID-19.”
