Union City, Tenn.–Effective Thursday, April 2, Obion County Schools will increase the number of meals they provide provide to children to include Saturdays.
Meal pick-ups will be available on Mondays and Thursdays at the current locations on the district’s website, and they will be providing three meals on each of these days.
Director of Schools Tim Watkins said, “This is in an effort to reduce potential exposure of COVID-19 to employees and the children in the county. This is in response to recommendations from Governor Lee to limit, when possible, even services that are deemed to be ‘essential’.”
