
Dover, Tenn.–Dover Mayor Lesa Fitzhugh announced Monday afternoon Dover City Hall and the City Parks will be closed until further notice.
The Town of Dover City Hall will remain closed and is only providing services for emergencies, online, at the drop off deposit box and by phone, she said.
Effective today (March 30), the City Park is closed to the public. Fitzhugh said the Boat Dock and Walking Trail will remain open for now.
An Officer will be patrolling and will monitor to provide all safety measures for social distancing.
Fitzhugh said, “Although we have No Confirmed cases in our Town, Sadly it still Affects us All. We are Asking for All Non Essential Businesses to close in our Town due to the possible risk of Contracting or Spreading the virus. As I Am Not in Panic I have Faith this Will get Better, We are Not Alone But We can Not make a difference Alone.It is Going to Take EVERYONE Joining together to Flatten the Curve.”
