Paris, Tenn.–Dr. Kyle Stephens and Janna French are now offering orthopedic telemedicine in response to the current COVID-19 pandemic. The healthcare providers practice at West Tennessee Bone and Joint Clinic – Paris.
Amidst widespread uncertainty, business closures and restrictions on community gatherings, telemedicine is an opportunity for patients to continue receiving care through virtual “office visits” using their smartphone device. Through the online app, OrthoLive©, they are able to have face -to-face encounters with either Stephens or French to continue their care.
“The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted every aspect of our lives, including healthcare,” Dr. Stephens said. “Our top priority is the well-being of our patients, our staff and providers, and the communities we serve throughout west Tennessee,” he said. “While we will continue to see patients at our offices in Paris and Huntingdon, telemedicine allows us to ‘see’ patients without requiring an in-office visit.”
“We are able to offer new evaluations, check in with patients after surgery, order therapy or additional tests, and review results from MRIs all through our smartphones,” Stephens said. “Technology certainly has limitations; however, this is one way it increases convenience for patients, provides continuity of care and helps keep our community safer.”
OrthoLive© is available for free download on smart phones. Appointments are available immediately and can be scheduled using the OrthoLive app.
