Paris, Tenn.–An unfortunate sign of the times? Due to an increase in the theft of toilet paper and vandalism, Paris Parks Department personnel have posted signs on the city’s public bathroom facilities saying they will not be stocked with toilet paper and may have to be closed altogether.
The signs have been placed at the city’s public parks and state that due to the continued theft and vandalism, the bathrooms cannot be stocked with toilet paper. “If we continue to experience vandalism, we will be forced to close these bathrooms indefinitely.”
In Union City, Parks Director Ken Morris told city council this week that the bathrooms at the city parks have already been closed because the city cannot meet the CDC guidelines for cleaning surfaces in the restrooms as often as required.
