Paris, Tenn.–Henry County Sheriff’s deputies, rescue squad members and K9s searched an area along Hwy. 79N for several hours Monday as it renews its search for Steven E. Loines of Paris, who has been missing since October 2017.

Sheriff Monte Belew said three teams of people searched a wooded area from three different angles, along with two cadaver dogs. The search began early Monday morning and concluded around 3 p.m.

“We were unsuccessful in our search today, but we are going to keep pressing forward,” Belew said. “We need the help of the community. If anyone has information, please don’t hesitate to call.”

There has been an active investigation involving multiple agencies on the case since October 2017 when Loines was first reported missing by family members. Loines was 44 in 2017.

The sheriff’s office initially offered a $1,000 reward for information, which was boosted in 2019 to $5,000.

He is still entered as missing in the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) and the sheriff’s office is asking for the community’s help in this matter and urging anyone with any information to come forward! Anyone with any information is asked to call the Henry County Sheriff’s Office at 731-642-1672 or the anonymous tips line at 731-642-0929.
