
Paris, Tenn.–A Puryear woman was arrested on drug charges after Paris Police found her asleep in her vehicle parked at a local hotel.
Elizabeth Gualtieri, age 31, of Old Paris-Murray Rd., was arrested Wednesday by Patrolman Steven Dean Jr. after he responded to a report of someone was passed out in the lower parking lot at the apartments of Paris Inn and Suites on E. Wood St.
Dean found the white SUV partially on the grass and partially on the sidewalk. According to the report, several attempts to wake the driver had been made. Gualtieri responded no when asked if she was under the influence.
Gualtieri performed sobriety tests and when Dean asked her to empty her pockets, a small bag was found that contained Xanas pills and meth crystals.
She was charged with possession and simple possession and bond of $25,000 was set.
