Union City, Tenn.–In a heartfelt post on Facebook, Obion County Central High School officials have thanked everyone for their support during the excruciatingly difficult time that the school, students, and families have endured this past week during the still-ongoing search for three missing boating team members.

From our perspective at OCCHS, we see our community, our great state of Tennessee, and various dots across the United States differently” since the tragedy, officials said. “Our school is forever changed.”

“As a school, we have been supported by so many including our friends in Union City, complete strangers from across our nation, and of course, our extended Rebel family. We ask that you continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers. We ask a special blessing on the affected families.”

The guys in the photo are the OC Anglers and their coach. “They, along with our entire student body, have been given bracelets to wear from a sweet lady in Alabama. There have been so many kind things done by so many folks. Hardin County, we are forever grateful for you and everything you have done. We are blown away by your kindness.”

Two 15-year-old anglers and a father/chaperone/guide have been missing since last weekend and extensive searches have been held for them at Pickwick Lake, where they were participating in a fishing tournament.
