The McKenzie Rebels defeated the Huntingdon Mustangs to advance to the championship game on Saturday night at 7:30. The Rebels were led in scoring with two young men, Lucas King and Micah Austin scoring over 20 points each. They will take on Hollow Rock Bruceton Central on Saturday evening. The Tigers upset the # 2 seed West Carroll War Eagles 63 to 59. According to broadcaster Buddy Smothers, “It was that kind of night. Central played well. With the wins both McKenzie and Central will host the first round of the regional tournament next weekend.
Girls consolation action will be played Friday night with West Carroll taking on Clarksburg at 6:00 at Bethel University’s Crisp Arena. The Huntingdon Fillies will take on the McKenzie Lady Rebels in the championship game at 7:30.
