All Invited: Shepherd’s Table Menu For Tuesday

shepherds-table-dinner-ware

Huntingdon, Tenn.—As announced earlier, The Shepherd’s Table at The First Presbyterian Church of Huntingdon is now served twice a month—the third and fourth Tuesdays of the month.

February’s meals will be served February 18th and 25th.  Supper will begin promptly at 5pm and the kitchen will be open until 6:45pm. Everyone is invited, whether you’re in need or just not wanting to eat alone. The table is open to everyone.

The menu for February 18 will be homemade chicken and dumplings, with a side of English peas and carrots. The menu for the fourth Tuesday will be Mustang Stew (a beef stew named after the Hungtingdon Mustangs) served with cornbread.

As always, there will be a variety of desserts. Be sure to come hungry!

Members of the First United Methodist Church in Huntingdon will sponsor and host the meal on the fourth Tuesday, and it will be served in the Fellowship Hall of the First Presbyterian.

The meals are always freshly prepared by a hard working volunteer staff. Sometimes hosts and businesses donate prepared items. But everything is always hot and fresh. The community kitchen was created by a group of volunteers that saw a need in the Carroll County community. Its success is dependent on your support. Both volunteering and donations are welcomed. Over the course of the last couple of years The Shepherd’s Table has fed as many as 130 in one evening.

More information about volunteering or donating to the Shepherd’s Table may be obtained by calling The First Presbyterian Church of Huntingdon at (731) 986-5642. If no answer, please leave a message, someone will get back to you as soon as possible.
