Kentucky Man Arrested With Drugs, Loaded Weapon In School Zone

Dover, Tenn.–A Kentucky man was arrested for possession of drugs and a loaded weapon in a school zone Tuesday morning in Stewart County.

Deputy Aaron Page stopped the driver, Dwight Dee Rodgers, no address given, for speeding through the North Stewart Elementary School zone in Dover. Rodgers suspected drugs in the vehicle and during a search found over two grams of meth, oxycodone, gabapentin, marijuana and a loaded weapon.

Rodgers was charged with the following: 1. Manufacture/Sell/Deliver Schedule II, 2. (4) counts simple possession or casual exchange, 3. Possession of a weapon during felony, 5. Contraband in a penal institution and several traffic violations.

His bond is set at $23,000.
