
Paris, Tenn.–Quinn Chapel AME Pastor and distinguished veteran Dr. John Dandridge was honored–and surprised–during church services with a State Proclamation presented to him by State. Rep. Bruce Griffey of Paris.
Griffey said he felt the need to seek state recognition for Dr. Dandridge in view of his ministerial work and for his distinguished military career. Dr. Dandridge, he said, “epitomizes the spirit and commitment that are characteristic of a true Tennessean.”
In addition to serving as the senior pastor of Quinn Chapel AME Church in Paris, Dr. Dandridge also is executive director of the Bedford County Christian Men Job Corps, and Tennessee State Director of the International Intercessory Prayer Network.
in addition to his pastoral duties , Dr. Dandridge is a volunteer chaplain for the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department and is affiliated with the Interdenominational Ministerial Fellowship, the AME Ministerial Alliance, and the Paris-Henry County Ministerial Alliance; and
a committed foster parent.
Dr. Dandridge holds an Associate in Specialized Business degree from LaSalle Extension University, a Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York, a Master of Divinity degree from Grace Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry degree from International Theological Seminary;
He also is a highly decorated combat veteran, a graduate of numerous Department of Army, Department of Defense, and Department of Labor institutes, and he concluded his distinguished military career as a senior Army officer.
He and his wife, Reverend Dr. Janie Dowdy Dandridge have two sons, threedaughters, and thirteen grandchildren.
