Paris, Tenn.–Paris Artist Dan Knowles, center, was busy supervising the painting of the Henry County High School Catfish Statue Wednesday. Students in Teacher Greg Chandler’s art class were doing the honors, based on the winning designs by their fellow students Ivy Wang, Alex Tanner and Alyssa Wilson. The Catfish Statue will receive its clear-coating Thursday. Once finished, Chandler said the statue will be placed by the flagpole in front of the school. The Catfish Statue is one of 10 that are currently being decorated for placement around Paris. They will join 15 other Catfish Statues that already were installed around Paris and Henry County earlier this year. (Shannon McFarlin photo).
