Nashville, Tenn.–Officers throughout Nashville are on the lookout for Ronald Dickens, 42, who is being sought for questioning concerning the murder of his wife, Shawnton Clay, 30.

According to a press release issued by Nashville Metro Police Public Affairs Manager Don Aaron, Shawnton Clay was found deceased by family members late Saturday afternoon inside the couple’s home at Avalon Apartments on Andrew Jackson Way.

As WENK/WTPR reported earlier Sunday, Shawnton Clay is a from Paris and was a 2008 Henry County High School graduate.

Dickens may be driving the victim’s 2017 black Toyota Camry bearing Tennessee license number T4522V. Anyone seeing Dickens or the car is asked to immediately call the Emergency Communications Center at 615-862-8600.

Dickens and Clay were married in Las Vegas in 2018, but the victim’s family believes they were in the process of divorce or annulment. Clay’s family and friends did not hear from her throughout the day Saturday and she did not show up for work. Family members forced entry into the apartment just before 4:30 p.m. Saturday and found her deceased. There was obvious trauma to the body. The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.

Dickens was not present when Clay was found, and attempts to contact him have failed. Her car keys and Toyota Camry are missing.
