Puryear, Tenn.–A Puryear man was found dead in a field Monday morning, the victim of a 4-wheeler accident.

Jerry Camper, age 70, was pronounced deceased by Medical Examiner Danny Tucker Monday morning in a field between Puryear and Hazel near Hwy. 641N.

Henry County Sheriff’s Investigator Bryan Hall said Camper left home on his 4-wheeler early Sunday afternoon to go hunting. He said a neighbor noticed Monday morning that his 4-wheeler was not at home and no one had heard from him, so he went walking through the field to see if he could find him.

Hall said the neighbor found Camper in the back side of the property in a corn field and that he had been in the 4-wheeler accident.

McAvoy Funeral Home has charge of arrangements, which are incomplete.
